TIR2000 cruise
The TIR2000 cruise, carried out aboard the R/V Urania from 29 August to 19 September 2002, was aimed at studying the sedimentology and volcanology of selected areas in the southeastern and central sectors of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The main objectives of the mission included the completion of sampling at the Marsili Seamount and the recovery of several gravity cores from sites located off Stromboli Island and on the floor of the Marsili Basin. Over the course of the 20-day expedition, 25 dredge hauls were conducted and 10 gravity cores were collected
